Leadership Jackson
Update
Shirley Tucker, Executive Director
Leadership Jackson To Hold Ceremony For
2006 Graduating Class
On Thursday, May 11, at the MS Forestry &
Agriculture Museum, another group of leaders will be recognized for
their successful completion of the nine-month Leadership Jackson
program. Friends, family, co-workers and other community leaders are
invited to come out and hear graduating members reminisce about their
experience. “It was more than I expected,” said Evelyn Reed,
a graduating participant. “I now have a broader circle of influential
friends and know more about this community than ever before. I think
Leadership Jackson should be a requirement for every person who claims a
leadership role in this community.” Reed, along with Henry Jones,
Angie Durham and Dr. Daniel Sarpong will be speaking during the upcoming
ceremony.
Thirty-two men and women will be awarded
personalized plaques for meeting the requirements of the program. Duane
O’Neill, president of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership and Leyser
Hayes, chairman of the Leadership Jackson program will be presenting the
awards.
