Memo from Chairman Bill Farmer

2005 C.A.R.E. Awards Luncheon

Our 2005 C.A.R.E. Awards Luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30, at the Country Club of Jackson.  This letter is your invitation to nominate MetroJackson Chamber members for a 2005 C.A.R.E. Award.

The chamber began the C.A.R.E. Awards program in 2006.  The purpose of the C.A.R.E. Awards is to recognize member firms of the chamber that have achieved excellence in one or more areas of their corporate activities.  C.A.R.E. stands for "Chairman's Award Recognizing Excellence."

Three small (under 250 employees) and four large firms (250 and over) will be selected again this year.  One small and one large company will be selected from each of the three counties in our metro area, plus one large company will be selected "at large" from the metro area.  The 2006large firm winners were Entergy Mississippi, CFS-SunTech Servicing, Kansas City Southern, and Nissan North America.  The small firm winners were Hall's Towing Company, Armstrong Relocation, and McElroy, Ward and Associates.

There is no cost for a firm to be honored.  Each firm selected will be provided with a reserved table for eight persons at no charge.

Our Chamber has many outstanding firms whose achievements in excellence need to be told.  As your 2005 chairman, I strongly encourage you to participate in the nominations process.  The nomination process is simple and on-line.  To nominate a firm, click here.  This link will take you to the brief Nomination Form, which also lists the requirements for nominations.  The nominations deadline is May 23.

Firms selected will be honored at the C.A.R.E. Awards Luncheon on August 30 at the Country Club of Jackson.
