Mississippians for Innovation, Science and Security (MISS) is a nonprofit entity established to promote and enhance scientific research in the great state of Mississippi. Our organization is committed to highlighting the many strengths of Mississippi and ensuring our economic security by reaping the benefits of a flourishing science and technology sector.
 
MISS aims to:

• Create job opportunities in the technology fields and spur economic development in Mississippi
• Promote the extensive amount of existing research capabilities in Mississippi
• Draw state-of-art federal facilities to Mississippi 
• Attract new businesses and entrenched research companies to Mississippi
• Provide research opportunities that allow Mississippi to contribute to strengthening America’s homeland defense
