Testimonials by Members of the Chamber
 The
MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce is the only service
organization that benefits the entire metro area. It is
recognized statewide as an effective, influential and
progressive force. It offers the opportunity to work with, be
friends with, and learn from leaders from throughout the Metro
Jackson area and the State of Mississippi.
John Almond, Allen & Hoshall
 Being
part of the MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce is important
because it is the only common thread that the Metro Jackson
community has. It brings unity to our community, which is very
important for attracting industries and planning a better road
infrastructure for our entire community. It has made me aware of
the importance of the entire metro area working from the same
plan as much as possible.
Bill Lampton, Ergon, Inc.
2006Chairman, MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce
 The
MetroJackson Chamber is one of the most important institutions
in our metro area that is dedicated to economic development and
the overall enhancement of our quality of life. I want to
contribute to these efforts and being active on the Metro
Chamber board is one way to do so.

Alveno Castilla, Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis, P.A.
 I
believe the MetroJackson Chamber should and does represent the
business interests of our community and strives to make the
Metro Jackson area a better place to live and therefore to
establish new businesses for overall economic growth. Community
leaders and people from prominent organizations which employ
large numbers of local residents ought to be involved in the
Chamber’s leadership and direction.
Jack Cleary, River Oaks Health Systems
 The
MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce provides the perfect
environment for individuals who represent diverse business and
political entities to join together to discuss, evaluate and
prioritize common goals for the metropolitan area. We can have a
very positive influence on the well being of our community when
we take this opportunity to work together to attain those goals.
I feel privileged to be a part of this organization.
Tommy Darnell, BancorpSouth
 Participating
on the Metro Chamber Board offers me the opportunity to serve my
community. I appreciate the interaction that occurs between the
chamber and other civic organizations. The Chamber also provides
the businesses located in the tri-county with an organization
where everyone can work together toward improving the
relationship between business and the community. The Chamber
also enables me to participate in efforts to bring economic
develop opportunities to the metro area.
Charles Doty, Lextron Corporation
 My
role as a board member of the MetroJackson Chamber is two-fold.
It allows me to take part in cultivating and maintaining the
Chamber’s existing programs. It also affords me the opportunity
to offer suggestions and have direct input into innovative
programs that will create positive results in our community.
Bill Farmer, Time Warner Cable
2005 Chairman, MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce
 The
ability to have input and to impact what transpires in our
community is important to me. The issues this organization deals
with not only helps to create an improved business environment,
but also a better quality of life for all citizens.
Steve Gregory, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi
 As
a small business owner, I know that it is important to have the
interests of all small businesses represented at the table for
local, county, regional and state issues. The MetroJackson
Chamber of Commerce allows small business owners to have that
seat at the table. Small business owners create more jobs than
any other category of business owners, and it is important to
help be that voice in chamber matters.
Tony Huffman, Huffman & Company, CPA, P.A.
 The
MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce focuses on issues that are
relevant to the positive growth and development of our
community. Working together with others who share a commitment
to moving Metro Jackson forward is important to me.
Gloria Johnson, Entergy Mississippi, Inc.
 It
is important the MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce continue to
promote economic development in the City of Jackson and the
Metropolitan area. A community with a strong economic
development alliance and strategies to work together will
prosper.
