Membership investments are payable in advance and are continuous unless canceled in writing in advance of the due date. Chamber membership dues may be tax-deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense to whatever extent allowable by law. (5% is not deductible due to lobbying activity.) Membership investments in the Chamber are not a charitable tax deduction for federal income tax purposes. The Chamber is not a charity, but serves as an advocate for area businesses.
